Beauty has been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a strong matriarchal family, surrounded by women who shaped my earliest understanding of beauty, self-care, and the rituals we create around them.

Some of my fondest memories began at home. As a little girl, I was already experimenting with botanical ingredients and concocting my own skincare treatments, fascinated by what I could create with my hands. By middle school, that curiosity had found its way into lashes, too. I would sneak into my mother’s room, take her old strip lashes, carefully apply them to myself, and head off to school feeling completely transformed.

Eventually, of course, she caught me. But instead of scolding me, she recognized my interest and chose to nurture it. She told me I didn’t have to take hers anymore—she would buy me a set of my very own. Looking back, it was a small gesture that meant so much. The women in my life never made me feel frivolous for loving beauty; they gave me the freedom to explore it, refine it, and eventually turn that fascination into a craft of my own.

My relationship with the beauty industry deepened again during my time modeling, particularly while experiencing Miami Swim Week. Being behind the scenes gave me an entirely different appreciation for the professionals whose work helps bring an image to life. I found myself just as captivated by the artistry happening backstage as I was by what happened in front of the camera.

Watching truly skilled makeup artists, hairstylists, estheticians, and other beauty professionals work made me understand just how consequential the smallest details could be. A lash, a brow, luminous skin, beautifully styled hair—seemingly simple touches could completely change the way someone carried themselves and how an entire vision came together. There was something almost magical about watching a talented pair of hands take what was already there and reveal it differently. That experience made me fall even more deeply in love with the beauty industry and the artistry behind it.

I have been practicing esthetics professionally since 2018 and graduated from the Elaine Sterling Institute at the top of my class with a 4.0 GPA. Since then, I have continued expanding my education through advanced training and certifications in esthetics, skincare, and cosmetic laser treatments. My philosophy has remained rooted in the same fascination I had as a child: beauty should never feel one-size-fits-all. My work is thoughtful, individualized, and centered on enhancing what is naturally yours.

My interests extend beyond traditional beauty as well. Holistic wellness has long been important to me, and I still enjoy creating my own skincare preparations and exploring the relationship between beauty, nature, ritual, and well-being. I am an avid reader with a particular love for astrology, literary esoterica, philosophy, and higher learning. Curiosity is a large part of who I am, and I am constantly learning whether about my craft, people, history, or the ideas that shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.

When I am not working, I am happiest with a book in my hands or surrounded by the people I love. I am deeply family-oriented, and much of what I know about care, femininity, and beauty began with the women in my own family. That warmth and personal connection are qualities I hope every client feels when they enter my space.

Shirley Esthétique is ultimately an extension of everything I have loved throughout my life: beauty, artistry, knowledge, ritual, and the transformative experience of being cared for. What began as a little girl mixing skincare and borrowing her mother’s lashes has become the privilege of creating those moments of transformation for other women.

To me, there is still a little bit of magic in that.
